My name is Scott Salwolke and I'm different from most SEO experts. For many their background is in computer programming and only now learning marketing. My experience is in marketing, as well as writing. I've been doing SEO since 2003, but I've been involved in marketing and professional writing for nearly 25 years.

Long before Google even existed, I was writing and testing direct marketing campaigns. This experience taught me the importance of words and how to test ads. I've been working on web sites for nearly a decade, but still using things I learned in advertising over 20 years ago.


I'm a SEO consultant who has done everything from designing web sites from scratch to testing out Google Adwords campaigns in China, India, Russia and hundreds of other countries.

I've been a journalist, a columnist, an author and a playwright. I've had two books published, been featured in more than a dozen magazines, and have had hundreds of articles published. More importantly I've worked on thousands of advertising campaigns.

After working on my first web site I found what I knew about advertising didn't always apply to the internet. One of the key elements of a successful SEO campaign is keyword research. No matter how compelling my writing is, it doesn't matter if it doesn't reach its intended audience. This means I need to incorporate the phrase prospects are using not just into the copy on a page, but its Meta tags.

SEO continuously changes. What worked in 2003 may not work in the present time, although many of the central ideas still apply. I also know through my experience in building web sites from scratch, that elements of a site’s design may negatively impact rankings. I look at all aspects of a website to ensure it won’t negatively impact rankings or conversions.

For pay per click, I already understood that testing ads and landing pages was crucial to a campaigns success. Yet, I was working with ads that allowed for only a limited amount of words. I successfully completed certification programs for both Google and Yahoo to learn how to create impactful campaign. I've run hundreds of campaigns on these platforms in addition to Bing, Business.com, Facebook, and MySpace.

I keep current on the latest SEO trends through being an active member of the SEO community, participating in forums, writing articles, and reading all the latest news on the search engines. I try to prepare my clients for upcoming changes before they take place so there is no loss in rankings or traffic.
